Batura Custom Midi Size Fountain Pen - in Woodland Camo Acrylic.

I'm been working on a LEVER-filler pen using the Batura and a vintage Lever Box Assembly (below).
The internal parts (sac and pressure bar) are easy to install, but it's the actual lever action that's
a problem. The barrel is too thick for the lever box, so the lever doesn't want to swing properly.
The opening for the lever box has to be cut out by hand with a Dremel, so it's a tedious process.
About the Name:
This pen is named after Batura Sar, the 25th highest mountain on earth, the 10th highest in Pakistan, and the highest peak of the Batura Muztagh.
Batura Sar forms the Batura Wall which is a continuously high part of the backbone of the Batura Muztagh, and is the western most sub range of the Karakoram range in northern Pakistan. If you wish to read more about this mountain or any others, you can read them on my pen names page.
Batura Dimensions, Features and Options:
The Batura falls in the Midi or JR size category. It has an overall length of a little under 5 3/4" with a maximum cap diameter of .60" (at the base), and a maximum barrel diameter of about 1/2". The most prominent feature on this pen would be the cap. The cap features a pair of 1mm wide accent bands that together frame the long straight clip, and helps to accentuate an otherwise bland clip. As with most of the pen styles, this pen can be made in your choice of acrylics and with either gold or silver toned clip and accent bands. While the standard pen is a cartridge/converter (C/C), it can also be ordered as a Button-filler. I've also made a version as a lever-filler and am currently working with a piston-filler system. So if you're interested in an alternate filling system, let me know.
I also offer a variety of hand-made Pen Props and Pen Buttons. You can order a Pen Prop in a material to match your pen, or any one of the wooden styles made in a variety of stained or dyed colors. The Pen Buttons are available for any of the clipless pens.
About this Pen and Material:
This material is an Acrylic Acetate called "Woodland Camo". As you can see, it's so called because of the "Camoflage" color and pattern. "Woodland" is the name of the color, and Camo the name of the pattern. It use to just be called Camo, but now there manufacturers are making camo patterns with just about any color combination. So they added the woodland designation to the original camo colors.
