Loa Jr. Fountain Pens
About the Loa Jr.
The Loa Jr. is the newest addition to my midi pen line. As the name implies, the Loa Jr. is a smaller version of the Loa. The Loa Jr. has the same styling of the full-size Loa, but in a smaller size. The Loa Jr. features the same rounded ends, and has smaller capping threads to keep the similar full size Loa’s styling. The Loa Jr. sports a similar tear-drop style clip as the full size Loa, but instead of a hidden ring that’s mounted under the finial, the Jr’s clip is slot mounted. The Loa Jr. has a shorter barrel (3″ instead of 3.25″) and uses smaller diameter threads (12mm instead of 13mm). It comes standard as a C/C (cartridge/converter) with a small #5 nib.

The target dimensions of the Loa Jr. are as follows:
Lengths:
Capped: 5.50″.
Uncapped: 4.70″.
Barrel only (w/o threads) 3.0″.
Cap only: 2.50″
Section only: .22″.
Diameters:
Barrel (f/r): .50″ / .45″.
Cap (b/t): .56″ / .53″.
Section (f/r): .40″ / .42″.
Options and Upgrades
Because of its small size, the Loa Jr. doesn’t allow for many upgrades. However a few are possible with slight changes to the dimensions. For example, it’s possible to add accent bands to the cap and/or barrel. It’s possible to upgrade to a larger #6 nib, but requires a slightly longer cap.
Material: As with other pens, the Loa Jr. can be ordered in any of the materials shown on my website (as long as they are still available) or in the material of your choice. If you want to use something different but don’t know where to look, just let me know.
Engraving: A new service I offer is laser engraving. So you can add special engraving to your pen such as the BCHR style patterns, or something more traditional like a person’s name or a special quote or short personal note for the recipient.
Clip: The pen can be ordered with or without a clip. Unfortunately, the teardrop clip shown is only available in chrome. However, you can also choose another clip style if you want something a little different (as long as the clip’s ring is a compatible size). Please inquire about what is currently available.
Cap posting: Cap posting is not possible on the Loa Jr. (this is because the hole size required inside the cap for the threads is smaller than the diameter at the end of the barrel).
Nib: The standard nib on the Nazca Jr. is the smaller #5 steel Jowo. It can be ordered with a larger nib, but as stated earlier, the cap length would have to be slightly longer to compensate for the longer nib.
Miscellaneous items:
I also offer a variety of hand-made pen-related items. Pen Props, pen cap Buttons, Pen and Ink Trays, Cufflinks, and Button Covers. Use a Pen Props to display a pen or temporarily raise the nib. Order in a pen-matching material or a wooden style in a variety of finishes. Cap Buttons are small pieces of cap jewelry you can add to a clipless pen to keep it from rolling. Use a Pen & Ink Trays to display your favorite pen and ink. Trays are available in several styles and in your choice of natural wood. Cufflinks and Button Covers are timeless favorites that dress up a shirt. Order them in pen-matching material.
