Clipless Fountain Pen Styles
This is my selection of clipless fountain pens. Please note that while the standard versions are clipless, you can order some styles with a clip if desired. If you’re looking for a different clipless pen, many other pen styles can work well without a clip. You can also order most styles as rollerballs. Choose your style, then choose your material.
Asgard Clipless
Fountain Pens
The Asgard has an inverted style, with the largest diameters at the ends tapering to the smallest diameter at the connection. The standard version is about 5 1/2″ long. The Asgard can is available in a MAGNUM size that’s 18% larger.
Lhotse Clipless
Fountain Pens
The Lhotse’s shape, is known as a “cigar pen” in the pen community. It’s one of the most iconic and popular pen styles ever made.
The pen has a gradual taper radiating out from the joint, finishing with a nice round-over at each end. The Lhotse is a convenient pen for tucking into a pocket, purse, briefcase, or knapsack.
Nanga Clipless
Fountain Pens
The Nanga has a unique forward-mounted thread design that allows it to have a nice smooth and graceful flow across the entire length of the barrel.
The Nanga is available in several sizes: standard, magnum, midi and thin.
Solano Clipless
Fountain Pens
Although the Solano’s shape looks simple, it’s a challenging shape to achieve. The shape is somewhat like the Lhotse, but more tapered. It’s fatter at the joint and thinner at the ends than the Lhotse. You could say the shape is more like a canoe, than a cigar.
Miscellaneous items:
I also offer a variety of hand-made pen-related items. Pen Props, pen cap Buttons, Pen and Ink Trays, Cufflinks, and Button Covers. Use a Pen Props to display a pen or temporarily raise the nib. Order in a pen-matching material or a wooden style in a variety of finishes. Cap Buttons are small pieces of cap jewelry you can add to a clipless pen to keep it from rolling. Use a Pen & Ink Trays to display your favorite pen and ink. Trays are available in several styles and in your choice of natural wood. Cufflinks and Button Covers are timeless favorites that dress up a shirt. Order them in pen-matching material.
