Pen Props and Cap Buttons
Keep your pens from rolling…
with Pen Props and Cap Buttons!
Do you like clipless pens? But do you hate when one starts rolling away when you place it on a flat surface? Yea, I get it. Clipless pens are nice. They have a smooth surface and lack the protrusion of a clip. So I think everyone should own at least one. Unfortunately, though, they have a bad habit of rolling when placed on a flat surface! But you can solve this problem with a Pen Prop or Cap Button.
With a Pen Prop or Cap Button you can be secure in knowing your pen will be safe while still displaying it proudly. Get a Pen Prop for every surface where you typically place your pen. Or add a fancy Button to the cap. Then, no matter where you place your pen—desk, dresser, counter, or workbench—you can be safe in knowing it won’t go rolling away. You can order them separately or include them in a pen order.
About JEB’s Pen Props:
The Pen Props are available in a variety of acrylics and woods. Currently, there are 4 basic styles: round, box, triangle, and fancy. The finishes on the wood props are natural, painted, and Transtint™ (a water-based dye). Unless painted, wooden props are clear-coated with a polyurethane finish. Have a pen collection? Order a custom multi-pen Pen Prop to proudly display your collection.
Specifications: All the Pen Props shown are 1 1/2″ wide, but you can order them in any width or for multiple pens to use as a display rack. Height and thickness (measured front to back) vary by style. Standard half-round props are 3/4″ deep (front to back) and about 3/8″ high. Large half-rounds are 1″ deep by 1/2″ high. The square prop is 3/4″ deep and 5/8″ high. The triangle style is 1 1/8″ deep by 9/16″ high. Fancy #1 (shown in blue dye) is 1 1/4″ deep by 5/8″ high. Fancy #2 (shown in green dye) is 1 1/8″ deep by 5/8″ high.

About Cap Buttons:
Cap Buttons are available in a variety of styles. The best location for a button is near the top of the cap. This is where the material is the thickest. They attach by means of a stud. A tiny hole is drilled in the cap, and then the stud is secured with a small drop of CA glue.
There are currently five different styles of buttons available (all shown below). The glass bead style is available in several transparent colors.
