About the JEBs Kamet fountain pen:
The most prominent feature of the Kamet is the two-tone color scheme. This pen is a great style that you can use with your imagination to come up with unique color combinations. The pen is about 6″ long capped, and 5.25″ uncapped. The cap diameter is slightly larger than the barrel and a flat finial and hidden ring clip. The barrel is slightly tapered front to back and is also squared off at the end. The Kamet comes with a #6 Jowo nib.
About the Name:
The JEBs Kamet is named after the mountain of the same name. Kamet the second highest mountain in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand India, and the highest summit in Zaskar region which lies north of the main chain of the Himalaya. Mount Kamet is the third highest mountain in it’s (Indian controlled) territory and is rank the 29th highest in the world. In appearance it resembles a giant pyramid topped by a flat summit area with two peaks.
Kamet Options and Upgrades:
The Kamet is a pen style that allows for a few upgrades and options:
Metal band upgrade: You could add metal accent bands to the section, finial, or barrel blind cap. The accent bands are available in 24k gold and rhodium, and come in a variety of widths from 1 to 4mm (in 1mm increments).
Clip finishes: The clip is available in 24k gold or rhodium finishes so it can be coordinated with your material or nib finish.
Nib upgrade: As stated earlier, the Kamet come standard with a steel #6 Jowo nib. However you can also upgrade the nib with a 14k or 18k gold nib. Both are usually available in gold and rhodium finishes.
Inking systems: The standard inking system is C/C (cartridge/converter). However the secondary color on the end of the barrel is installed as a threaded blind cap, which makes the Kamet easily upgradable to a button filler. So if your budget is tight, you could order it as a C/C, then upgrade it later when funds permit.
