Lhotse Rollerball Pen Holder
Custom rollerball pen HOLDER with clip
in Yellow Jacket acrylic.
Like many of the pens, this one was a special order. And it was a bit unusual. Rather than a fountain pen, it’s a type of rollerball pen. But instead of just being a regular rollerball pen, this one is HOUSES several brands of rollerball pens.
To use, you simply remove the rollerballs cap, and insert the entire pen (without the cap) just as you would a refill. The client wanted the freedom to use a variety of refills in the same pen, so I made it to house FIVE different brands of Roller-balls. It’s also thicker and longer than the standard Lhotse AND includes a clip, but has the same cigar shape.

About the rollerball pen brands:
As stated above the pen will accept FIVE different rollerball pens: Vision Elite, Vision Micro, Vision Needle, Uni Super Ink, and Staedtler Liquid Point.
About the material:
The material used on this pen is an acrylic acetate with a two-color SWIRL pattern called Yellow Jacket or Tuscan Sun depending on the supplier. It’s a bright yellow-gold base with black and white lines called threads running throughout. The base color is semi-transparent which gives the material a lot of depth.

New Fountain Pen Parts Added:
The original pen was made in June 2014. Now fast forward to 2020. The client contacted me again to ask if it was possible to add a section with a fountain pen nib. Unfortunately, the original cap (with the clip) was a tad too short due to the finial. Because the cap uses a clip it has a separate threaded finial, and the finials threads were too low inside the cap. So he ask that I make a clipless cap for it. The new cap was drilled out to accept the new fountain pen parts AND all of the original sections just like the original cap. Below are images showing the updated parts.
Miscellaneous items:
I also offer a variety of hand-made pen-related items. Pen Props, pen cap Buttons, Pen and Ink Trays, Cufflinks, and Button Covers. Use a Pen Props to display a pen or temporarily raise the nib. Order in a pen-matching material or a wooden style in a variety of finishes. Cap Buttons are small pieces of cap jewelry you can add to a clipless pen to keep it from rolling. Use a Pen & Ink Trays to display your favorite pen and ink. Trays are available in several styles and in your choice of natural wood.
